We do not offer estimates based on photos, as they often miss hidden or underlying damage.
To ensure accuracy, all estimates must be done in person.

Even if we’re not listed as a preferred shop by your insurance company, we work with all insurance carriers. You have the right to choose where your vehicle is repaired, and we’ll handle the paperwork and communication with your provider to make the process smooth and stress-free.

Insurance estimates often aim to minimize costs, using:

  • Use/Recycled or aftermarket parts
  • Limited repair scopes
  • Lower labor rates

At Staunton Auto Body, we prioritize safety, quality, and long-term value. Our estimates reflect:

  • The use of OEM or high-quality parts
  • A thorough repair process that meets industry standards
  • Skilled labor and advanced technology

We also work directly with your insurance company with supplements to negotiate proper coverage, ensuring your vehicle is repaired the right way — not just the cheapest way.

A repair supplement is an additional estimate submitted to the insurance company after the initial inspection, usually when:

  • Hidden damage is discovered during disassembly
  • Additional parts or labor are needed that weren’t included in the original insurance estimate
  • The insurance-approved parts need to be upgraded (e.g., from aftermarket to OEM)

At Staunton Auto Body, we handle the supplement process for you — working directly with your insurance company to ensure all necessary repairs are covered and your vehicle is restored properly.

Your insurance company may have specified certain parts in their estimate, but the final choice is yours. If you prefer different parts than those listed, please let us know before repairs begin so we can:

  • Advise you of any out-of-pocket costs
  • Order the correct parts for your vehicle

There are three types of parts for your repair:

  • OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer): Made by your vehicle’s manufacturer. Ideal for maintaining factory specifications and warranty coverage.
  • Aftermarket: New parts made by third-party manufacturers. These offer flexibility and value, often at a lower cost.
  • Used/Recycled: Salvaged from other vehicles and inspected for quality. A budget-conscious option, especially for older vehicles or non-critical repairs.

  • Drop-off by 9:00 AM on your appointment day
  • Can’t make it during business hours? We offer an after-hours key drop box for your convenience. Just let us know ahead of time, and we’ll guide you through the process to ensure your vehicle is safely checked in.

  • Cash
  • Credit/Debit
  • Cashier’s Check
  • Properly endorsed Insurance Check
  • Business Check
  • Personal Check (only if under $1,500)

All checks made payable to: Staunton Auto Body, LLC

To ensure transparency and compliance with the Illinois Automotive Repair Act (815 ILCS 306)

You are entitled to a price estimate for the repairs you have authorized. The repair price may be less than the estimate but shall not exceed:

     (1) any price limited estimate or

Additional repairs may not be performed without your consent. You may waive your right to a written estimate and require that you be notified if the price exceeds an amount you have specified.
